- General Details
The Maxcom MX700 series ONU’s are ideal for use in fiber to the home, MDU or business applications. These mini-nodes provide a reliable platform for delivering upstream and downstream DOCSIS, voice, video and high speed data PON services over FTTX applications. They are designed compliant to industry standards to terminate an RF over Glass (RFoG) communications network. Compatible with GPON transmission modes, they include an optional optical MUX for pass through of the XPON or XGSPON downstream and upstream wavelengths. They can be used as a standalone RFoG based service, or as an overlay on a PON network. The device uses a single fiber and receives downstream signals at 1550nm, and uses a 1610nm Isolated DFB return transmitter. Wavelengths and other features may be customized to your needs. Environmentally hardened and built with maximum toughness and the best in class warranty.

Each of the 1550nm (CATV)’s output optical ports will multiplex G and/or XGS PON wavelengths of 1270,1310,1490, and 1577 nm from an external OLT, Available in 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64 outputs. +15 to +23 dBm output power per port.

1550nm EDFA for CATV
The EDFA is booster amp for long haul transmission networks or FTTH distribution networks. This optical amplifier is packaged in a 19” rack mount housing to provide a complete optical communications solution. Maxcom offers our MX-A51 platform which can be ordered with various output powers between +13 and +26 dBm.
WDM Fiber Optic Multiplexer (Wave Division Multiplexer)
The MX WDM Fiber Optic Wavelength Division Multiplexer, enables 1310nm and 1550nm wavelengths to be transmitted simultaneously on the same fiber optic cable. The direction of the optical signals can be in the same direction or opposite directions.
